Wayne & Kristi Northup
Wayne and Kristi met the first day of college and were close friends, but it took Wayne four years to work up the nerve to ask her out! Married in 2000, they have travelled the country together, speaking in churches, conventions, and camps. A highlight for Wayne has been the privilege of speaking in hundreds of public schools. Kristi is a first class musician who loves all styles of music. If she hears it, she can play it. Just don’t ask her to remember the words! They have two children: Libby (in elementary school) and Lincoln (a little guy) and a dog named Charlie. Our vision is to win a city, starting congregations throughout the greater New Orleans area. We want to embrace some aspects of tradition in worship, while discovering new ways to experience God. We desire to strengthen families and individuals through discipleship and community. Through our small groups, we will work side-by-side with community organizations that are already making a difference in the city.
What We Value
We believe in the power of God for today. We would love to pray with you at the end of the service about any issue. We practice open communion, so if you are a follower of Christ, you are welcome to receive.
We believe in families. We don’t just want to have a powerful kids ministry, we want to come alongside parents, giving them tools to help raise their kids for God.
From Irish-Italians to Asians, we love to celebrate the culture in New Orleans! Older and younger, Salsa and R&B, it all adds to the experience at Saints Community.
Equip the Saints
We want to equip our people to serve, both in the church and in the community. We believe in helping people find their exact spot to serve in the local church and beyond.
